Just my rambling thoughts about it. I loved it despite the changes and the cuts. And I love this poster:



I like that it includes Ginny, Neville, Luna, and Cho. Still in shock about how much all the kids have grown.  Didn't Neville used to be short and chubby? Where did this tall, slender (in the movie he wears a bit of padding), good looking young man come from? Yikes. Time flies. Poor Harry is still pretty short . But he's cute.

That's all! I have put The Deathly Hallows away for a while. I plan to read it again in a week or so.

I'm home from pet sitting. Thank God! I love those animals, but it can be so tiring. I can't imagine living with them full time. I'm just happy that Ike is feeling a bit better. It's going to feel good to be back in my own bed, too. The sleeper sofa hurt my back this time. I'm glad the week is over. It really was a disaster this time. Let's see: Dog gets sick, day spent at the vet, vet thinks it's time for him to be let go. Dog recovers (for now).  Big storm knocks out power for two days, destroys trees in the yard, and the power lines set fire to one of the trees. Another dog gets a bit depressed. Cat is the attention whore from hell.  I think I've had enough excitement for the week!

Ike continues to look better. He's eating again and drinking plenty of water. He's very tired, though.

Ike seems to have improved for the time being...meaning he's not barfing all over the place. He is looking very weak, though. Still not sure what will happen...my sister will have to make the big decisions when she gets home Monday.

Mom and Dad took me out to dinner tonight so I could get away from the animals. We went to a great seafood place in Maryland (the house is five miles from the Virginia/Maryland border). I'm so full.

2 more days before THE BOOK is released! Wheeeeee! I have been peeking at a few spoilers, but so far, they all seem to contradict each other. So I'll still be surprised when I get my copy. Saturday I'm going to see Order of the Phoenix. After that, I will be glued to my book. I won't put it down until the last page is read. I can't believe this is the end of the Harry Potter series, but at least there will be two more movies to look forward to!

In addition to taking care of poor old Ike, I'm sick myself. I think it's allergy related. I've been sneezing, stuffed up, and have had nosebleeds and a sinus headache ever since last night. This is going to be a fun week. I haven't even felt like cross stitching!

Poor Ike is still crying out there...when I walk the other dogs before bed, I'll play with him a bit.

Something is seriously wrong with Ike. I'm going to have to take him to my sister's vet tomorrow. He's constantly pooping in the mudroom (despite being walked often), and he's having trouble walking. I think this could be it. I just hope I'm not the one who has to make the decision to put him down- a very real possibility because of his age and recent poor health. He may have to stay at the animal hospital. It's getting hard to take care of him and the other three pets, and I can't constantly be cleaning up after him. He's never been this bad before. I had to clean up three times today alone. I'm really upset. Poor doggy.

ETA- my sister called. He's had this before, and she has medicine for him. She told me to put him out in his doghouse, and to give him the meds in water with no food until tomorrow night. Hopefully he'll get over this overnight! Poor Ike. He's crying out there now.

Katie thinks it may soon be time to let him go. *cries*

Man, I am TIRED. I had to get up at 5:30 this morning to get the dogs walked and fed so I had plenty of time to get to church. The handbell choir had to ring this morning, even though my sister is out of town. She passed her duties on to a young fellow named Brian, one of her former youth choir members! He's about to graduate from college with a degree in music education (I think) and plans to teach in the area. I really think Katie is grooming him to take over her job someday. It's possible to teach full time and work as a church choir director! He did a good job with us and the junior choir.

The dogs were very, very, good this weekend! No accidents, and only a few spots of insane barking. The cat was a little stand-offish this time which kind of bugged me. I had a lot of time to cross stitch. I nearly finished a project, and got a big start on the huge Royal Holiday picture!

It's actually very peaceful at my sister's house. Her property is large, so there's no one around. There's hardly any street lights, so I can see the stars very clearly. I wish I owned a telescope. There were perfect stargazing conditions on Friday night.

It's raining cats and dogs now. There were sheets of rain coming down when I got to church. Fortunately, it didn't start until I was finished with the dogs this morning.

My weekend still isn't over! My sister just got back, so we have an extra long practice tonight. The bell festival is next week!

I had a cute little meme ready to post, it posted all funny, so I deleted it and now I just don't feel like re-doing it. It was that "10 people you'd cheat with" thing. Kinda pointless because I'm unattached, but guess who was number one on my list. Oh, well. (Time to go to obasc and beg for more pictures of him!)

I'm at my sister's house and her computer is slower than usual. The dogs are behaving, but the cat is ignoring me. That's odd for him. He's usually an attention whore! I'm probably not going to get to sleep tonight. I always have trouble sleeping here the first night.
