Hogwarts Sorting Hat: Based on Myers-Briggs Personality Typing

You are a RAVENCLAW!As a Ravenclaw and as an NFP, you value imagination, ideas and intelligence. You are probably somewhat of an individualist and avoid conforming just for its own sake. You are insightful and perceptive, and since you are empathetic and value harmony, you usually try to avoid conflict. Of course, you may enjoy participating in heated debates, but only as long as they remain on an intellectual level and not a personal level. In general, you are open-minded and curious, and set high standards for yourself.

My favorites:
"The reason that Harry Potter is the "saviour of the wizarding world" is because Voldieshorts took one look at baby Neville and went "I am NOT messing with that!"
"Chuck Norris' boggart is Neville Longbottom."
"Voldemort didn't light the Sorting Hat on fire; the Sorting Hat combusted because it touched Neville Longbottom."
"Bellatrix never actually tortured Neville's parents. She just threatened to kill their son and they laughed themselves into insanity."
"Before Neville punched it, it was known as Horizont Alley."
"When Voldemort goes to sleep at night, he checks his closet for Neville."
"There is no theory of evolution, just a list of creatures Neville allows to live."
(Yes, I know some of these are just adapted from Chuck Norris/Jack Bauer facts. I think they're funnier with Neville!)

I can't really afford both right now. I think I'll get Neville now and ask for Luna (she comes with a Thestral, and is more expensive) for Christmas.

Fun with action figures:

This poster had her Draco and Neville action figures doing stuff that's illegal in my homestate.

Changed my default picture. Aww. I just want to pat him on the head...(came from magicfly icons, found it through the Harry Potter community I belong to).
Only temporary, of course. My name is still kiramowett, not kiralongbottom!
Still considering buying the "My Hero" Neville shirt. And I want that damn action figure (and Luna, too)...wish I knew when it was coming out!

It was a last minute birthday present (and I still have one more gift coming!). I'll never lose my spices again!
It is too damn hot. It hit 104 F in Stafford today, and the humidity was pure evil. It's going to be this way the rest of the week. Poor garden...just when the tomatoes and peppers are really producing.
*whines* I still haven't been approved for the
Still planning to see Order of the Phoenix in IMAX, but it's not going to happen this week. Hopefully, it will be around for a while longer.

This is NOT Neville. Uh-uh. No way he's changed that much since OOTP was filmed...Damn!

*repeats to self* He's only 18, he's only 18, he's only 18...

I found this picture at Entertainment Weekly and added a caption...

Heh heh heh. She would torture poor Trevor along with Neville, wouldn't she?
Saw Hairspray yesterday. Four stars. I'll elaborate later!

Find out your Harry Potter personality at LiquidGeneration!
I actually got Neville. I don't know why it shows up as Hagrid. And whoever wrote the quiz has obviously not read the later books, because they tell Neville to grow some balls. Heh.

Last night was the second to last concert at the library. It was a terrific group called the Pan Masters- all steel drums. They've been together for 22 years, and the kids of some original members play with them.
They played all kinds of stuff- classic rock, reggae, traditional. They even invited people on stage to try the drums. I wish my nephew could have made it to this one- he is such a good drummer himself, and it's always good for him to hear a variety of percussion instruments and musical styles.
The concert had to be moved indoors- we had a terrible thunderstorm. It rained for a solid hour. The turnout was very good despite the weather. They're really a popular group on the East Coast. The final concert is the day after my birthday next week!
Yet another funny Harry Potter icon:
Wish this was smaller. I'd love to use it here.
Hoser redid the Neville icon so I can use it at TrekBBS-

I hate to alter icons like that...I don't even know who made it originally. But cursing in icons at Trek is a no-no.
I want more, more, more Harry icons and motivational posters!
I went to see Ratatouille today. It was very good, but way too sophisticated for little kids. I'll put up a longer review at my other blog later. I'm going to see Hairspray tomorrow!

Just my rambling thoughts about it. I loved it despite the changes and the cuts. And I love this poster:

I like that it includes Ginny, Neville, Luna, and Cho. Still in shock about how much all the kids have grown.
Didn't Neville used to be short and chubby? Where did this tall, slender (in the movie he wears a bit of padding), good looking young man come from? Yikes. Time flies. Poor Harry is still pretty short
. But he's cute. That's all! I have put The Deathly Hallows away for a while. I plan to read it again in a week or so.
I'm home from pet sitting. Thank God! I love those animals, but it can be so tiring. I can't imagine living with them full time. I'm just happy that Ike is feeling a bit better. It's going to feel good to be back in my own bed, too. The sleeper sofa hurt my back this time. I'm glad the week is over. It really was a disaster this time. Let's see: Dog gets sick, day spent at the vet, vet thinks it's time for him to be let go. Dog recovers (for now). Big storm knocks out power for two days, destroys trees in the yard, and the power lines set fire to one of the trees. Another dog gets a bit depressed. Cat is the attention whore from hell. I think I've had enough excitement for the week!

Some quick thoughts (spoilers!) behind the cut:
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was waiting on my doorstep when I came back from the movie (which I enjoyed, but a review will have to wait). I've started it, and once I'm done with this entry, I'm going to read until it's done! So far, I'm impressed...
I can't believe the series is done. I'm a little sad. Ah, well, there's always fan fic (I rather like the Luna/Neville stories...)!

Mom and Dad took me out to dinner tonight so I could get away from the animals. We went to a great seafood place in Maryland (the house is five miles from the Virginia/Maryland border). I'm so full.
2 more days before THE BOOK is released! Wheeeeee! I have been peeking at a few spoilers, but so far, they all seem to contradict each other. So I'll still be surprised when I get my copy. Saturday I'm going to see Order of the Phoenix. After that, I will be glued to my book. I won't put it down until the last page is read. I can't believe this is the end of the Harry Potter series, but at least there will be two more movies to look forward to!
